Our School

Swarland Community First School is situated in north Northumberland. We are a village school serving the villages of Longframlington, Newton -on- the- Moor and Swarland. We also have a number of pupils from outlying villages in the area.

The school was built in 1937 though there have been a number of additions to the original  building. Our playing fields are extensive and weather permitting we try to make full use of them, whether it is looking for mini-beasts, playing  games of simply sitting under the trees listening to a story.

Recently the children in Years 3 and 4  designed and painted the playground area. They also designed the layout for the tyre play on both the playground and field areas. The whole school, along with the Home, School Association is looking at how we can further develop Creative play outdoors. We are in the process of developing an outdoor play area for the Foundation stage children in both school and Pre-school.
