Woodhorn Museum Trip to see Weeping Window

21st October 2015
The whole school visited Woodhorn Museum to see the Weeping Window poppy installation. Children used this experience as a focus for their historical studies looking at Britain's past, their local heritage studying the mining indistry and exploring their own British values by showing mutual respect for others and commemorating Remembrance Sunday. Children made their own poppies which were then used to create their own 'weeping window' back at school.
